We understand that losing a device or having it stolen can be a stressful and frustrating experience. Primo’s MDM can help mitigate the impact of this unfortunate situation. Our robust security features are designed to protect your data and give you peace of mind during this challenging time. Let's explore how Primo MDM secures your computers in case of loss or theft:

  1. Encryption: Primo’s MDM ensures computers are properly encrypted. This means data is unreadable to anyone without the computer's password.
  1. Password Quality: It's crucial to enter a session password. Primo’s MDM can ensure the session password meets reasonable (or even high, depending on company choice) quality standards, preventing unauthorized data access.
  1. Remote Locking or Wiping: Primo Manage allows remote computer security in case of theft or loss. In both cases, the computer must be connected to the internet for communication between commands issued from the Primo cockpit (or any MDM) and the computer.
    1. In case of wiping, the computer is restored to its original state and an OS must be reinstalled. The data (especially if it was encrypted) is erased.
    1. In case of locking, the computer is locked with a 6-digit code; it's a firmware-level lock that is extremely difficult to bypass.

In case of loss or theft of a computer in your fleet, you can lock (Lock action) or erase (Wipe action) the affected equipment in your Primo cockpit. To do this, find your employee or their computer and choose the desired option (lock or wipe).
