To deploy the MDM agent on your device quickly and efficiently, follow the simple installation steps provided for both macOS and Windows, ensuring you have administrator rights and access to the necessary enrollment email.

An MDM is an agent that allows remote management and security of computers. FleetDM is the MDM (Mobile Device Management) deployed by Primo. Installing the MDM is a crucial step in managing your company's fleet.

This procedure is very simple and quick: it will take you less than 2 minutes!

Important: to proceed with the installation, you need to have administrator rights on the computer.

Starting the installation

  1. Click on the email from support@getprimo.com titled: “Invite to join <Company Name> on Primo”
  1. Click on the "Enroll my computer on Primo" button
  1. Enter your email, and receive a 6-digit code by email, which you'll need to add to log in
  1. Select a computer that has already been assigned to you OR select "new device"
  1. Choose your computer's OS (Windows, MacOS or Linux)
  1. Download the installer by clicking on "Download installer"

Installation on macOS

  1. Double-click on the "primo-enrollment.mobileconfig" file that has been downloaded
  1. Open System Preferences and use the search field to find the "Profiles" section
  1. Select the profile in the list and double-click on "<Your Company> Enrollment"
    1. If the profile is not present, use the "+" button to locate it in your "Downloads" folder.
  1. Select "Enroll" at the bottom left
  1. Enter your session password
  1. It's done ✅

Installation on Windows

  1. Double-click on the "primo-enrollment.msi" file that has been downloaded
  1. A Windows security window opens, continue by clicking on "Yes"
  1. It's done ✅
