Selling a Computer with Primo
Primo aims to make selling computers as easy as buying new devices. We believe more people should capitalize on their computer fleet by reselling them. It's good for the environment and your wallet!
Why is it wise to resell your equipment?
- Monetize your unused assets: Many of our clients have equipment, particularly computers, that remain unused, obsolete for the company's current needs. By reselling them, you can recover a portion of this latent investment.
- Think green: Reselling extends the useful life of equipment, reducing demand for new devices. This means fewer resources extracted, decreased energy consumption, and reduced electronic waste. By recycling, you contribute to a cleaner environment.
What is the optimal time for resale?
It is recommended to sell your equipment after 3-4 years of use. At this stage, you could recover up to 20% of its original value. Machines that are between 5 and 7 years old may see their value significantly reduced.
How is the buyback price set?
We collaborate with an auction platform for refurbishers. This system allows us to offer you the best possible price. However, you have the right to refuse the offers and keep your equipment.
How does the resale process work with Primo?
- Selection: On your Primo dashboard, select the device > History > "Resell".
- Evaluation: Fill out our evaluation form providing the necessary details about your equipment. Our partner will then assess its value.
- Packaging and shipping: Primo can provide you with suitable packaging or, if you prefer, you can use your own. We will also provide you with a shipping label.
- Confirmation and payment: Upon receipt, the condition of the equipment is verified. Once confirmed, the funds are deposited into your Primo account, which you can use to reduce the cost of other purchases or benefit from subscription discounts.
The resale experience in Primo will soon be fully integrated within your Primo dashboard.
