Synchronizing your HR system

Why connect your HRIS

Synchronizing with your HRIS allows you to automate many tasks that take up your time on a daily basis, such as managing your arrivals and departures, your teams, and the equipment you provide them.

It allows Primo to receive:

  • employee information you will need in managing your fleet (MDM installation, equipment delivery to employees, etc.),
  • information about upcoming employee arrivals and departures as soon as they are entered in the HRIS, allowing you to anticipate

HRIS that can be connected to Primo

Primo connects to the most commonly used HRIS by companies:

The connection between your HRIS and Primo is made using Kombo.dev. Kombo is a tool that offers unified APIs that authenticate, normalize, and synchronize data between API providers so that SaaS (Primo) can easily offer multiple integrations (HRIS) to their end users (you).

Using Primo without connecting your HRIS

It is entirely possible to use Primo if you don't have an HRIS, if your HRIS is not on the list above, or if you don't want to connect it. You will simply need to import the list of employees and the information associated with each one.

Connecting your HRIS to Primo

Connecting your HRIS is done from the Settings of your Primo cockpit: click on "Connect" then follow the described connection steps.

Once the connection is made, the synchronization activates and employees appear in your "Employees" tab.

Once the connection is established

  • Frequency of information updates in Primo: The information present in the HRIS is updated twice a day in Primo. This means that changes to information in the HRIS or the entry of new arrivals or departures will be reflected in Primo at the end of the morning or at the end of the afternoon.
  • Managing employees who are not part of the company: The connection with the HRIS may show employees in your imported collaborators in Primo who are not part of your teams (external consultants, freelancers, accountants, HRIS administrators, etc.). If you do not wish to provide equipment to these people and do not want them to appear in the employees managed in Primo, you can hide them from your "Employees" tab. Click on the employee then on "Hide". This action is irreversible and will make the employee disappear from your list on Primo (but not from your HRIS).

Special cases

Particularities related to Payfit

When connecting Payfit x Primo, the account you want to connect may appear grayed out. If this is the case, it means that you are not logged in with your administrator account or that you do not have the administrator role allowing you to perform this action. Change accounts to log in to your administrator accounts or ask your administrator to give you the rights or to manage the connection to Primo directly.

Particularities related to Lucca

The Lucca x Primo connection requires the activation of criteria in your Lucca settings to make onboardings and offboardings appear in Primo. To do this, you must:

  1. Go to your Lucca administrator account > Settings > API Keys
  1. Access the space dedicated to modifying the rights associated with the API key
  1. Check "View future employees" and "View departed employees". These fields will allow you to bring down upcoming onboardings and offboardings in Primo.
