Supported platforms and operating systems for Primo are outlined, detailing capabilities for each OS, current version support, and noting that Android is prioritized for future support.

Overview of Platform Support

Here is a recap of the platforms that we support in Primo and the different things that you can do with each platform:

  1. ChromeOS: while you can enroll ChromeOS devices in Primo, note that the control of these devices (both in terms of application deployment and OS Settings) is done in your Google Admin console. For more details, don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
  1. Linux: Linux devices are tricky to encrypt, as it can sometimes require to wipe the hard drive and set up an OS from scratch. However, with Primo, you can still centralise reporting on which devices are encrypted or not, or out-of-date, etc.
  1. Here are the Linux distributions we support:
    1. ✅ Ubuntu/Debian (format DEB)
    1. ✅ RedHat/CentOS (format RPM)
    1. ❌ Alpine (format APK)
    1. ❌ Arch
  1. App installs on iOS are only possible via Apple’s Volume Purchase Program
  1. Apple only allow to store an Activation Lock Bypass Code for Zero-Touch (”supervised”) iOS devices.

Not currently supported

  • Android is currently not supported but is prioritized for Q1 2025.

While Fleet may still function partially or fully with OS versions older than those above, Fleet does not actively test against unsupported versions and does not pursue bugs on them.
