Manage your apps via Primo & FleetDM

Manage your apps efficiently by connecting to FleetDM from your Primo cockpit, configuring application settings, and defining installation targets to ensure smooth deployment across devices, while noting that some processes are still being migrated.

Step 1: Connecting to FleetDM

To begin, log in to FleetDM from your Primo cockpit. There are 2 options:

  1. From a profile: Go to the "Installed Apps" tab of a profile.
  1. From the main menu: Access FleetDM directly through the menu.

In either case, easily connect to FleetDM using SSO from your Primo account.

Step 2: Accessing application configuration

  1. Once connected to FleetDM, click on the "Softwares" tab.
  1. Make sure you are in the "No Team" team (you can verify this at the top of the screen).
  1. Then click the "Add Software" button, located on the right side of the screen.

Step 3: Choose the application to add

On the application configuration screen, you have two choices:

  1. Applications maintained by FleetDM: These applications are automatically managed by FleetDM, which includes updates.
  1. Upload your own application: Add your specific applications yourself if they are not listed among those maintained by FleetDM.

Step 4: Define the installation target

Once the application is selected, define who will be affected by the installation:

  • All devices: The application will be deployed to all enrolled devices.
  • Devices associated with a Label: This option allows you to precisely target users or devices based on Labels.
💡
How Labels work:
  • Labels are automatically generated in FleetDM from Profiles and Tags configured in Primo.
  • You can easily identify them by the [SET BY PRIMO] indicator in FleetDM.

Step 5: Automatic Installation

Once the configuration is complete, the application will be automatically deployed to user devices matching the defined criteria.

⚠️
Important: we are currently migrating processes. Applications added via FleetDM are not yet visible in the Primo cockpit, but this functionality will be available in the coming weeks.
